CANCER RESEARCH

AID FROM HONORARY MEDICAL STAFF

DATA TO BE OBTAINED The members of the honorary medical staff of the Auckland Public Hospital have formed themselves into a committee known as the Cancer Committee. This voluntary effort to obtain data for cancer research was reported by Dr. C. H. Tewsley, president of the Auckland branch of the British Medical Association, at the annual meeting yesterday afternoon. In a discussion on co-operation in the cancer campaign, it was stated that the whole-hearted support of the association in the work had been promised at a meeting of the British Empire Cancer Campaign Society. The promise was endorsed by the meeting. In the movement by the honorary staff at the hospital, the work would be done by the members in their own time. Records would be taken, charts prepared and attention would be given to all work providing data. Appreciative reference to the movement was made by speakers at the meeting.
