RESPECT FOR CENOTAPH
CHILDREN TO BE TAUGHT QCHOOL children are to be instructed to respect the significant spirit of the cenotaph in the Domain. This assurance was given out by Mr. A. Burns, chairman of the Education Board, this morning, after comment on the discussion by the Auckland Provincial Roll of Honour Committee yesterday on the misuse of the cenotaph area by school children. Mr. Burns attributed any possibility of misuse to thoughtlessness on the part of the children, and Mr. H. S. W. King said many children were too young to understand what was meant by the cenotaph.
