Death of Mr. A. F. Lowe A verdict of death from natural causes was returned at the adjourned inquest'concerning the death of Mi'. A. F. Lowe. C.AI.G., clerk of the Legislative Council, who died suddenly last week. The inquest was held at Taihape, near where Air. Fire Damages Wairoa Drapery At seven o’clock this morning fire broke out in the rear of the showrooms of Walker’s drapery store, Alarine Parade, Wairoa. It was quickly subdued by the brigade, but the stock was badly damaged by smoke and water. The building was owned by Douglas Wilson, of Napiei*. It was slightly damaged.
