QUIET WEDDING
RAYNER—GORDON rfr. John’s Methodist Church. Ponsonby. was the scene of ,i very quiet But pretty wedding when Htanlev Raynor. son of Mrs. liayner, of lluntly, and the late Mr. F. Rayner, was married to Edith, widow of the late Mr. George Gordon, of Huntly. The Rev. Mr. Mitchell officiated. Tho bride, who was yivvn away by Mr. Robert 1 logg. wore a frock of ruse beige georgette anil lace, with hat to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink roses. Mrs. Robert Ilogg was matron of honour, her gown being of navy blue satin, with lime-roloured hat. Her bouquet was of palest yellow roses. Mr. D. Whorskey was best man. After the function a reception was held at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Brass. Pompalier Terrace. Ponsonby. Among the guests were Miss B. Brass, Mr. and Airs. Burns, Air. and Mrs. W. Rayner. anti the Misses Rayner, Mr. and Airs. Hogg and Miss E. Ilogg, Messrs. \V. Smith, I>. Sheeran and F. Arnold. The bride travelled in a lacquer red georgette ensemble, with hat to tone.
