Bookie Fined £IOO After Police Raid

ACTING FOR CHIEF VISITOR FINED ALSO Arrested in a raid made this morning by Detective-Sergeant McHugh and Detective Nalder, John William Hopkins was fined £.IOO at the Police Court this morning. Mr. McHugh said that accused was a bookmaker with an extensive business. TTOPKIXS, a clerk aged 36, pleaded guilty to keeping the premises known as 10 Gladstone Buildings as a common gaming-house.
