CAR CAPSIZES IN SHINGLE
AN’S HAND BADLY HURT Pres* Association CHRISTCHURCH. Saturday. A motor-car overturned as a result o£ a skid on loose shingle on the road to Okaln's Bay. Banks Peninsula, yesterday. Desmond John Pidgreon. son of the owner of the car. Mr. W. L. Pid2son. received serious injury including a deep cut on the head. Two fingers were cut off and he may also lose his thumb. Only bruises and shock were suffered by two other passengers. Mr. Pidgeon had his hands cut in breaking the windows to extricate his family.
Mrs. Pidgeon suffered badly from shock. One of her stockings was burnt off by acid from the battery.
