FEARS FOR THE PRINCE
AVIATION ACTIVITIES CAUSE DOUBT NO PILOT’S LICENCE Reed, tl a.m. LONDON, Friday. Recent aviation accidents are causing concern among many people regarding the Prince of Wales’s flying activities, and the feeling prevails that the heir to the Throne should not take such risks. It is officially explained that the rumours that the Prince has flown much, or secretly, and alone, are unfounded. He has no pilot’s licence. The fact, that a pilot gives the Prince’s plane almost a daily airing has probably led people to believe hat the Prince was aboard. When he loes fly, he does so openly and though he is efficient in handling the controls he has no intention of taking out a pilot’s licence.
