WITH A MAGNIFICENT BACKGROUND.—The British Prime Minister found time on his recent visit to America to inspect the marvels of Niagara Falls. The falls are on the lower portion of the Niagara River which separates, in part, the Province of Ontario, in Canada, from the State of New York, U.S.A. The American falls are I,oßoft wide and 167 ft high: the Horseshoe or Canadian Falls are 3,100 ft across and 158 ft high. With Mr. Ramsay MacDonald in this photograph are his daughter Ishbel and Judge Clearwater, chairman of the Niagara Park Commission.
