CHORAL CONCERT
YTASCAGNI’S opera, "Cavalleria "*■ "*■ Rusticana,” and Rossini’s “Stabat Mater,” should provide the Auckland Choral Society with a full and varied programme for its concert at the Town Hall this evening. In the opera there is colour and tragedy, and in the "Stabat Mater” many beautiful melodies. A strong cast has been selected including Miss Kate Campion (soprano), Miss Molly Atkinson (contralto), Mr. Arthur Ripley (tenor), Mr. Ernest Snell (baritone), and Mr. Arthur Colledge (bass). Mr. Colin Muston will direct, with Miss Edith Whrtelaw as leader. The programme should command a large attendance.
