“THE CANARY MURDER CASE” The thrilling all-talking mystery picture, “The Canary Murder Case,” will be presented at the Capitol Theatre, Dominion Road, again this evening. The story centres around the murder of “The Canary,” New York’s most beautiful chorus girl. Six men wished her out of the way, and each one of them had the opportunity on the night of the murder. - The police were baffled until Philo Vance, brilliant amateur detective, stepped in and by an unusual though simple psychological test, discovered the murderer. William Powell has the leading role, supported by Louise Brooks, James Ford and Charles Lane. A number of short talkie items will also be screened. 1 Jack Conway, director of “Our Modern Maidens” and “Untamed,” has been assigned by Metro - Gold wyn - Mayer to direct “Take It Big.” the initial talking and singing vehicle of the famous vaudeville team of Van and Schenck.
