KINDERGARTEN BENEFITS
A BRILLIANT SUCCESS
A most successful bridge afternoon in aid of the St. James’s Free Kindergarten funds was held at the Aloulin Rouge yesterday. The afternoon was organised by members of the committee, who must be complimented upon the splendid results attained. Tables were set in the lounge, which had been charmingly arranged with bowls of pink and mauve stock, and tall vases of gold and white Iceland poppies. The committee comprised Airs Tiarks (convener), Airs. Whitley. Mrs. Stanton, Mrs. Airey, Airs. Walkley, and Mrs. Aloorhouee. Those who served afternoon tea and sold sweets were Aliss Alaxjorie Tiarks, Aliss L Lawson, Aliss Betty Jackson, Aliss Winsome Airey, and Aliss P. Robertson. AMONG THE PLAYERS Among those playing bridge were: Lady Herdman, Lady Richardson, Mrs. J. B. Macfarlane (president of the main committee), Mrs. W. C. Whitney, Airs. C. C. Plunket, Airs.
