EFFECTIVE DECORATIONS Air. and Airs. R. S. Latta entertained a number of young people at CheltenKiosk, Devonport, on Wednesday evening to celebrate the coming of age of their daughter, Aliss Ethel Latta. Streamers of green made an effective decoration for the hull, and the guests spent arf enjoyable evening dancing. Excellent music was supplied by the Kit Kat Dance Band. Airs. Latta received her guests wearing a frock of navy georgette. Aliss Ethel Latta’s frock was of nile green satin beaute with ankle-length skirt of frilled tulle. Among those present were: Airs. Latta, senr., who wore black satin beaute; Airs. S. I*. Latta, apricot satin; Airs. L. Cooper, silver lace over violet satin; Mrs. T. H. King, turquoise georgette; Airs. W. A. Beswick, navy crepe de chine. Aliss Florrie Latta chose lido blue floral ninon; Aliss Val Dowden, pink embossed georgette and tulle; Aliss Betty Gurr, silver lace over midnight blue satin; Miss Katli Sloane, black taffeta with hip bow of pink; Aliss Betsy Beswick, rose blush crepe de cliine, relieved with dtamente; Aliss Violet Walton, pink tulle over satin; ATiss Ray Gurr, apricot chiffon velvet ancl tulle; ATiss Mavis Alonnock, apple green crepe de chine; ATiss Frida AVebster, sea green satin beaute; Aliss Nance AVatson, prfmrogre taffeta, with uneven hem; Miss Bessie Smith, floral ninon; Miss Muriel AlcDougall, black panne velvet relieved with red; Aliss Georgia Boggs, delphinium ring- velvet; Miss Gladys Walton, pastel green georgette; Miss Betty Spring, peach taffeta; Aliss Mizpali ’Wood, turquoise lame and georgette.
