FRUIT RATES STEADY GOOD DEMAND FOR PEARS Little change has taken place in the fruit auctions in the City Marts over the holiday. Today, prices showed no important alteration. Fresh quantities of strawberries are coming forward. , Beni'S, at the moment, are commanding' a satisfactory market, especially for the better lines. Apples are meeting with a fair inquiry only. Californian oranges are dear and Islands are on a good market. Cook Island tomatoes are in fair demand. Small-sized Poorman oranges and lemons are having dull sales.
