50,000 REDS ASSEMBLE ON BORDER DEFENCE FUNDS SENT United P.A.—By Telegraph—Copyright Reed. 9.5 a.m. SHANGHAI, Monday. The Kuomin, Nanking’s official news agency, reports that 50,000 Soviet reinforcements are concentrating in the Tauii district, presumably with the intention of invading Manchuria. The Nanking State Council has remitted 1,000,000 dollars to Chang Hsueh-Ling, the Mukden leader, to assist in frontier defence and prepare for the anticipated Soviet attack.
