“THE BELLAMY TRIAL” Excellent entertainment is provided by the talkies at the Capitol Theatre, Dominion Road. The chief attraction on this evening’s programme is the sensational murder mystery film. “The Bellamy Trial,” starring Beatrice Joy and George Barraud as the two accused, and Betty Bronson as a girl reporter, The greater part of the evidence and cross-questioning in the court is clearly reproduced. The same programme includes a number of short talking and singing featurettes. The entirely new programme to be presented tomorrow includes new talkie supports and an unusual tale of life at the Hollywood film studios. This is “Show People,” a sound synchronised picture starring Marion Davies and William Haines.
