BASIC WAGE REDUCTION
UNLIKELY TO TAKE EFFECT IN N.S.W. PROPOSAL CONDEMNED SYDNEY, Saturday. It is considered certain in political circles that the basic wage reduction recommended by the New South Wales Industrial Commission will not be allowed to take effect. The members of the Nationalist Party have condemned the proposed reduction and for the Government to let the cut be made would be inviting defeat in the Legislative Assembly.
