MINISTERIAL VISITS
WELCOME, BUT NO BANQUETS (Special to THE SUN) TE AWAMUTU, Saturday. The Te Awamutu branch of the Farmers’ Union does not believe in tendering banquets to Ministers of the Crown when they visit the district. At a meeting of the branch, the Te Awamutu Chamber of Commerce said a Minister was visiting the district shortly and asked the branch to assist in connection wi.th a banquet. Members were against adopting this suggestion, but were willing to do everything possible in the way of showing the Minister the district and otherwise making him welcome
