WALKED THROUGH WINDOW
From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Saturday. An extraordinary accident occurred in Hamilton’s main street during the progress of alterations to a shop-front. A large window had been removed from its frame, and was about to be transferred to a waiting lorry. Twe» men were handling the large sheet of glass, one in the doorway of the shop and the other near the kerb, the window stretching right across the footpath. A pedestrian hurrying along failed to observe the glass screen and walked straight through it. The widow broke with a crack resembling a riilt shot, and the pedestrian, surprisesd and scared, did not await inquiries but spe-'<(i on his way down the street.
