LINDRUM WINS
McCONACHY BEATEN AT BILLIARDS (United P.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) LONDON, Saturday. Walter Lindrum (Australia) defeated Clark McConachy (New Zealand) at billiards. After today’s play the scores were:—Lindrum, 22,694 (including breaks of 376, 277. 677, 228, 328, 331): McConachy, 21.200 (including breaks of 782, 637, 236, 551, 160, 294). Lindrum’s best break of the day was 677, made at the first afternoon session. He will now go to Newcastle to meet Willie Smith. McConachy remains in Glasgow, where Joe Davis has arrived. He will meet the New Zealander on Monday on a two weeks’ time-limit match. It is four or five years since the pair last met.
