Two stands, numbers 13 and 14, will be taken by Abel, Smeeton, Ltd., at the Exhibition. The new 1930 model Crossley sets and accessories will be on display. This firm is making a special show offer in connection with its Lisseu screen-grid three-valve set.

PROMINENT STALL DISPLAYS Seven-valve Radiola all-electric radio sets are being offered by the Farmers’ Trading Company on easy terms. Full equipment, excluding aerial masts, is included, and 115 weeks allowed to pay. The company will also allow a free trial in the home if desired. See this display at stall 20. A unique all-electric receiver for reception of the local station and for the electrical reproduction of gramophone records will be seen at stand 5, the Philips Radio display. A full range of the company’s products will also be seen.

The modernising of old sets is a speciality of iJixon’s Radio Service and Supplies, at 22 Swanson Street. The service, repair and rebuilding side of the radio trade has been studied thoroughly by this firm.

“No place like home—when you’ve an Atwater Kent” is the motto of Harringtons, Ltd., who will be showing these popular all-electric and battery power sets at stand 6. This firm also sells long and short wave receivers. The main exhibits on stand 19 (Speddings, Ltd.) will be Magnavox X-core dynamic speakers, Burgess batteries, Mullard valves and equipment, and Webster gramaphone pick-ups and amplifiers. All four trade names are well-known in Auckland.

New Zealand-made receivers will be on show at stand 16, Selectra Radio, Ltd., and these are said to compare very favourably with overseas products in both appearance and performance. A few accessories will be shown in addition tb complete Selectra sets.

New models of. the A. C. Dayton nine-valve receiver will be seen at stands S and 9, where Superadio, Ltd., will be displaying the latest in radio. The Dayton “Navigator” is said to have knife-edge selectivity and is supplied with a dynamic reproducer.

New models of the well-known Crossley receivers are expected by David Teed, Ltd., 205 Broadway, Newmarket, shortly. All-electric power sets will be among the new arrivals. Ultradio, at 10 Great North Road, will not be showing at the Radio Exhibition, considering that the display in their shop is sufficient of a radio show in itself. All leading lines are stocked and repairs are done by specialists.

The amateur constructor who wishes to convert his present battery set into an all-electric is catered for at stand 21, where Johns, Ltd., is showing an extensive display of components. Local-made sets, too, will ba seen here.

A special line in radio aerial masts is being offered by the Domestic Vacuum and Radio Co., Ltd., who invite visitors to the Exhibition to call in at the shop, 300 Queen Street, close to the Town Hall.

Reception of both short and broadcast wave stations on the one allelectric receiver has been made possible by Radio, Ltd., whose product, the “Ultimate” screen-grid three, will be seen at stand 15. Steinits sets will also be demonstrated here.
