TWO BIG PIECES The Auckland Choral Society's next big. effort is the presentation of both Rossini’s “Stabat Mater” and Mascagni’s “Cavalleria Rusticana” on one programme. This exceptional treat for music-lovers will take place at the Town Hall on Thursday, November The soloists, full chorus and orchestra will all be under the conductorship of Mr. Colin Muston. The soloists specially engaged the occasion are Miss Kate Campion, soprano, Miss Molly Atkinson, mezzosoprano, Mr. Arthur Ripley, tenor, Mr. Earnest Snell, baritone, and Mr. Arthur Colledge, basso. The box plans open at Strong’s Box office on Monday week, November 4.
