TOO MUCH CASH
LYTTELTON HARBOUR BOARD EMBARRASSED PORT CHARGES REDUCED Press Association » CHRISTCHURCH. Today. The Lyttelton Harbour Board, at a special meeting, decided to reduce the port charges by a total of £14.195 annually, so that traders would benefit. The chairman anonunced that the board had a credit balance of £8,304 in cash, and was embarrassed not by financial difficulties but by a surplus.
