Athenians’ Last Revel of Season

MUSICAL PROGRAMME 1 HAPPY DANCE EVENING The gay Athenians held their last dance of the season in the Operatic Society’s Hall on Saturday evening, a record number of members and guests being present to enjoy the fun. The host and hostess for the evening were Mr. and Mrs. Norman Newdick. AT R. PETER DAWS OX was responsible for the excellent stage setin addition to the music supplied by j the Kit Kat Orchestra, a most enjoy- 1 able musical programme was pro- ; vided, those contributing being Prolessor Kingsland’s Saxophone Quartet, j consisting of Messrs. B. Kings land. A. j Staliford. A. Chambers and C. Rowe. ; Items were given by the Snappy Three, a violin solo by Master Taberner. and a _ baritone solo by Air. Dudley Wrathall. ATiss Nena Scott gave musical monologues. All items were enthusiastically encored. Air. AY. Wright (president) presented Airs. Trask with a set of cut crystal vases in appreciation of her splendid administration of the supper arrangements throughout the season, and Air. Peter Dawson was the recipient of a set of cut crystal wine goblets, in recognition of his valuable service as stage decorator. Airs.
