LIGHT CAR AFIRE
SKID AT CORNER DRIVER RECEIVES CUTS Skidding on loose scoria at a bend in Great South. Road, near Penrose, a light car capsized and caught fire. The ear was owned by Mr. Light, of Grey Lynn, who received slight cuts from the broken windscreen. The other occupant was uninjured. With the aid of a hand fire-extin-guisher from two motor-buses owned by the Passenger Transport Company, which appeared on the scene, the flames were easily subdued. The total amount of the damage was not very great.
