stable hand, who is now in the hospital in a serious condition. He only regained consciousness this morning. This is the second time within a few months that the American-bred horse has attacked one of his attend - an ts. In June last he savaged his trainer, R. 13. Plaxico, inflicting serious injuries. At the time Plaxico was driving a pacer along Yaldhurst Road with Silk Thread on the lead, when without any warning the liorse rushed the trainer, dragged him from the sulky anti commenced a savage attack upon the helpless victim, tearing his clothes to pieces and making manj’ wounds. Plaxico’s plight was fortunately noticed by a -youth who. after belabouring the stallion for some time with a heavy stick, succeeded in getting the horse to desist. It was stated at the time that had tha trainer not been wearing an excess of heavy clothing, he would have been seriously hurt.—(Abaydos.)
