ASSAULT CHARGE FAILS HAMILTON HOTEL INCIDENT From Our Own Correspondent HAMILTON, Today. Morris Costello, charged with assaulting J. Cheshire, licensee of the Hamilton Hotel, on Saturday night, appeared in the court today. According to Mr. Cheshire, accused, who was not a boarder, refused to leave the premises at 9.30 p.m., so he conducted him to the door. There a constable arrested him. Replying to accused witness admitted that he did not remember being assaulted. Costello said that he went to the hotel with his brother-in-law, who boarded there. When he asked for drink, Cheshire seized him by the coat and rushed him to the door. He denied the assault. The magistrate refused to convict.
