CANTERBURY BUSINESS MEN MOVE WILL TRY TO HELP (Special to THE SUN) CHRISTCHURCH, Today. Recently delegates from the council of the Canterbury Chamber of Commerce conferred with the Christchurch branch of the Returned Soldiers’ Association and found that 90 returned soldiers were unemployed and not receiving pensions. At a meeting of the council on Thursday a committee was set up to meet the Manufacturers’ Association for the purpose of finding what could be done to establish artificial flower and other industries for the benefit of returned men.
