YOUTH GIVEN CHANCE
PROBATION FOR THEFT (From Our Own. Correspondent) HAMILTON, Today. “This will probably be your last chance.” remarked Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M.. in the Hamilton Police Court today when placing Raymond Trevor Child, aged 20. on two years’ probation for theft of a watch at Putaruru.
The Magistrate said he had postponed the sentence to confer with the probation officer. In view* of the disadvantages of Childs early training and youth, the Magistrate felt he was taking the right course. A friend of the family was prepared to give him a chance on a farm.
