YOUNG MAN PLEADS GUILTY MAGISTRATE’S RESPONSIBILITY Press Association INVERCARGILL, Today. A young man, 21 years of age, an employee in a Government department, appeared in the Police Court today to answer the charge that, being a Government employee he stole £26 15s, the property of the New Zealand Government. He pleaded guilty, asking to be dealt with summarily by the court. The Magistrate said he felt it was always one of his greatest responsibilities to deal with young men on the threshhold of life and he would reserve his decision till tomorrow'. On the application of counsel. His Worship ordered suppression of accused’s name, at least until his decision was given.
