Both. services tomorrow at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Parnell, will be conducted by the Rev. J. M. Beaufort, chaplain of King’s College. Qn Thursday evening Canon W. Fancourt will be instituted as vicar of the cathedral by the archbishop. $ • $ The Rev. Charles Chandler will preach at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew’s Church, and in the evening the Rev. F. Carew Thomas will be the speaker. “The Message of the Blossom’* will be the Rev. Lionel B. Fletcher’s subject at the morning service at the Beresford Street Congregational Church. His evening subject will be “Who are Separated from God?” • • • At 11 a.m. at the Edendale Presbyterian Church, the Rev. W'. Gilmour will conduct the service. Miss A. Young, of the British and Foreign Bible Society, will speak. Mr. Gilmour will preach in the evening. At 11 a.m., at the Somervell Presbyterian Church, Remuera, the Rev. J. L. Grey will speak and at 7 p.m. the Rev. T. Halliday will preach. * * • “The Working Faith of a Modern Believer” will be the subject of the Rev. G. Jackson at the Community Mission in the Zealandia Hall, Dominion Road Terminus, at 7 p.m. The Rev. W. Walker will preach at 11 a.m. at the Pitt Street Methodist Church and at 7 p.m. he will deal with “Religion Stripped of Paraphernalia.” Madame Winnie Fraser will sing. * * * “Spiritualism as a Science” will be the subject taken by Mrs. HarrisRoberts at 7 p.m. at the Spiritual Scientists’ Church. » * * The Rev. L. Horwood will preach at 11 a.m. at the Methodist Central Mission. At the evening service in the Strand Theatre he will preach on “Christ or Catastrophe.” The second part of the film “Scaramouche” will be shown. • * * “Will the Church go Through the Tribulation” will b 4 the subject of Mr. R. A. Laidlaw’s address at the Unity Hall at three o’clock tomorrow afternoon. • * * At the Auckland Higher Thought Temple Mrs. Lewin will conduct the service at 11 a.m. and at 7 p.m. Mr. H. F. Robinson will speak. Other services will be held during the week. * * * The Rev. R. Stowards will preach at the Grange Road Baptist Church at 11 a.m. and in the evening the Rev. A. S. Wilson will speak on “The Gospel, the Power of God.” The Rev. J. Ings will be the speaker at the men’s brotherhood meeting in the Y’.M.t.A. at 4.15 p.m. Both services at St. John’s Methodist Church, Ponsonby Road, will be conducted by the Rev. A. Mitchell. Mr. Mitchell will sing “O Loving Father.” • * * The Rev. J. G. Hughes will preach at the evening service at the Progressive Church of Spiritualists, Newmarket. • * * The First Church of Christ, Scientist, will hold services at the Church Hall. Symonds Street, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. The subject will be “Mind.” * * * Mr. R. T. Reid will speak at the service of the International Bible Students’ Association in the Masonic Hall at 6.45 p.m.
