PRODUCE SALES IN LONDON MERCHANTS’ REPORTS New Zealand butter is at present commanding a steady market in London. Reports to merchants in Auckland show an improvement on recent sales. The cheese market is quiet to steady, with an advancing tendency. Reports: Dalgety and Company, Limited, from their London house, dated August 22: Butter: New Zealand, finest salted. 173 s to 1755; Danish, 176 s to 178 s; Australian, finest salted, 166 s to 170 s, finest unsalted, 166 s to 170 s. Cheese: New Zealand, white, BSs to S9s, coloured, 90s to 91s: Canadian, white, S7s to 88s, coloured, 89s to 90s, c.i.f., 88s to 89s. Dairy produce holders are firm and offerings light; buyers will net pay the advance at present. W. W. Bowker, from A. .T.
