Sir, IVe were told yesterday by your correspondent “Anti-Apathetic Sufferer” that Auckland’s mosquito research officer is leaving the city for parts where ■us services are likely to be more appreciated. Well, I suppose that, in common with the majority of Aucklanders, I have learned for the first time that we had such a person. I certainly think he has been wasting his time in this mosquito airdrome, and I am willing to wager any research officer would be stung out long before s “ cceeded in taming the brutes. Anyway, why worry about such trifling a n ces? T am at a loss to understand hon anybody could work 90 t=°i] J J S . a week ln mosquito research.
