SUCCESSFUL FINALE
CONCLUSION OF VARSITY BRIDGE SERIES MEDICAL GROUP GATHERS Last night saw the final of the bridge evenings arranged in connection with the Auckland University College to promote its social welfare, and there was a large assembly of card enthusiasts. The project has certainly achieved its aim, and the committees of the professions of law, medicine, architecture and accountancy contemplate extending the scheme. Play took place in the common room, which was adorned with fragrant flowers. Mrs. C. E. Maguire, convener of the medical group, was hostess, in the absence of D*\ Margaret Knight. She received the guests in an ivory georgette frock encrusted in crystal and an embroidered shawl. Lady Carrick Robertson wore a black and white georgette frock, with beaded corsage. Mrs. Bruce Mackenzie had on a georgette frock, and fur wrap. Mi's. Walton was wearing flame georgette beaded in silver. Mrs. Eisdell Moore’s frock was gold lace mounted on mauve georgette.
