“THE MIDNIGHT TAXI” A story of intrigue and adventure is revealed in “The Midnight Taxi,” the part talkie which is now in its second week at the Plaza. Written by Gregory Rogers, the story is interpreted by a notable cast headed by Antonio Moreno and Helene Costello. Other prominent players are Myrna Roy, William Russell and Robert Agnew. The picture, which was directed by John Adolfi, deals with the career of a young man whose love of adventure leads him to select bootlegging as an occupation. He enters into a deal for the supply of a large quantity of illicit liquor, but complications occur when he is paid in stolen bonds. He is accused of having stolen them, and has considerable difficulty in proving his innocence.
