WOMEN’S HOCKEY TOURNEY
AUCKLAND TEAM CHQSEN The personnel of the Auckland A team to take part in the New Zealand women’s hockey tourney, beginning at Gisborne on August 29, is announced by the Auckland Ladies’ Hockey Association, as follows:—Goal, Miss E. Dunning; fullbacks, Miss McEnteer, Mrs. M. Martin; halfbacks, Misses D. Care, V. Shand, O’Neil; forwards, Mrs. McLeod, Mrs. Hamblin, Misses G. Lowe, R. Craig. I. Hyde. Reserves: Backs, Miss&s Cherney, I. Hende; forwards, Misses D. Hyde, M. Montgomery. The team will leave Auckland by train for Rotorua next Monday and proceed to Gisborne by bus on Tuesday. The selection was made at a meeting of the executive, presided over by Miss P. Dawson. It was decided to ask Mr. B. Cooper to act as manager, and Mrs. Cooper as chaperone, for the team to be sent to Thames on August 31.
