HUNT CLUB MEETING

BAY OF ISLANDS CLUB ANNUAL MEETING HELD (Special to THE SUX) KAIKOHE, Monday. The Bay of Inlands Racing Club held its annual meeting in the library at Kawa Kawa on Wednesday evening. ; Mr. G. Leaity presided over a good attendance of members. The report and balance-sheet was adopted. The following officers were elected: Patrons, the Hon. V. H. Reod. M.L.C.. the Hon. W. Stewart, M.L.C., Captain Rusliworth. M.P., Mr. Tau Henare, M.P., Col. Allen Bell and Mr. Fred Andrewes; president, Mr. G. L. Leaity; vice-president, Mr. J. F. Wall; treasurer, Mr. J. F. Wall: stewards, Messrs. C. F. C. Miller, A. H. Morgan, B. C., Squire, H. L. Irving and W. A. Pearson: members’ stewards, Messrs. J. P. English. A. H. Morgan and J. Keatley; hon. auditor. Mr. E. H. Blundell. The question of including trotting events in the programme was left in the hands of the committee. Mr. W. Adams (Auckland) was elected a member of the club. The meeting placed on record its regret at the loss suffered by the Durgavillc Racing Club in the death of one of its former presidents, Mr. G. N. Hayes, and a letter is to be sent to j that effect.

Excellent entries were received last week, and as the admission charges have been fixed at a popular rate, the public is given an excellent opportunity of witnessing some high-class sport, as well as assisting with a. deserving cause.
