SURPRISE PARTY
DANCING AND CARDS PASS A BRIGHT EVENING FOR MISS BEACH HARDIE-NEIL With a bevy of other bright young girls, Miss Gwen Court arranged a delightful party to surprise Miss Beach Hardie-Neil at her home in Symonds Street on Saturday evening. Fragrant spring blooms were massed in the reception rooms, and violets, irises, and daffodils were blended in artistic colouring.
MISS BEACH HARDIE-NEIL, who was surprised at her home in Symonds Street on Saturday evening by a gay party of young people. Bridge and 500 engaged the attention of card players, and impromptu dancing helped to while away a gladsome time. Aliss Beach Hardie-Neil wore a becoming frock of iris blue embossed georgette. Aliss Alollie Hardie-Neil’s black crepe de soie gown was appliqued with lacquer red French flowers. AUss Rose Hardie-Neil had chosen cloth of silver and cameo pink tulle. Aliss Gwen Court had on a chic frock of cherry chiffon, with frilled skirt. Aliss Wilma Plummer’s frock was of silver lame and black georgette, with coatee of the same materials. Airs. Dibble was in a pale coral frock of chiffon. Aliss Aturray Simmonds wore a black ring velvet gown. Aiiss Elaine Wilson wore a spray of red roses on the corsage’ of hex- black georgette gown. Aliss Edna Walrond had on a frock of french blue and primrose taffeta. Aliss Iris Hale had chosen buttercup yellow sprigged taffeta, with frilled skirt. Aliss M. Cleland was in a gold lace gown, worn over parchment >ured chiffon. Aliss Nance Fort’s frock was of black embossed georgette.
