N.Z. CHAMPIONSHIPS THIS YEAR'S PROGRAMME The executive of the National Rifle Association met in Wellington this week and drew up the programme for the New Zealand championship meeting which will be commenced at Trentham on February 26, 1930. The service programme will be the same as this year’s, but the balance of the matches have undergone considerable revision and are as follows: Match 1: Seven shots at 300 and 500yds; Match 2, 10 shots at 600yds, Match 3, 10 shots at 800yds; Match 4. 10 shots at 900yds; Match 5, 10 shots at 300yds; Match 6, 10 shots at 300 and 500yds; Match 7, 10 shots at 500 and 600yds; Match 8, 10 shots at 600yds; Match 9, 10 shots at 800yds; Match 10. 10 shots at 900yds; Match 11, 10 shots at 800 and 900yds, .with the King’s Fifty at 900yds. Matches 1 to 4 inclusive comprise the Imperial Aggregate, but do not count for the belt series. Matches 5 to 12 are the belt shoots* 5 to 8 counting for the Trentham Aggregate and 9 to 11 for the Bisley Aggregate. The Imperial Aggregate prize list has been reduced to £l2O, otherwise the lists will be the same as at the 1929 meeting, but the minimum entrance fee to secure a railway pass has been raised to £2 2s 6d. PAEROA CLUB (From Our Own Correspondent) PAEROA, Friday. There was a large attendance of members of the Paeroa Defence Miniature Rifle Club on Thursday night on the occasion of the second night’s shoot of the three night competitions for a trophy presented by the club. The top score for the evening was registered by F. C. Hubbard and E. Turton, senr., who each put on 99 off the rifle, the maximum score, with handicap, being 100. Results are; F. C.
