“BREACH OF PROMISE”
KOHIMARAMA AMATEURS’ PLAY The Kohimarama Musical, Literary and Dramatic Society gave an unusual entertainment on Thursday evening, when the Kohimarama Hall was arranged as a court of justice and a breach of promise case, in which Miss I Love was the plaintiff and Mr. A. Ninny was the defendant, was tried. The actors in the legal drama were as follow;—Miss I. Love, Miss Lorna Andrew; counsel . for plaintiff, Mr. Cooney, sen.; Mr. A. Ninny, Mr. Jack Hawley; counsel for defendant, Mr A Brown; judge, Mr. W. H. Madill; clerk of the court, Dir. Jack Sweeney; foreman of the jury, Mr. Percy White; uu-v Messrs. Barnes. Hurst and Todd; the star witness. Mrs. E. G. Tvrell: the myserious witness, Miss A., Miss Spenceley Walker; plaintiffs father. Mr. Fuller Love, Mr. E. G. Tvrell; Mr! Sherlock Holmes, detective, Mr. Cooney, jun. After the case had been satisfactorily concluded a dance was held.
