“THE WOLF OF WALL STREET”
UNIQUE SCENES IN NEW PLAZA TALKIE For the stirring scene of the interior of the New York Stock Exchange in action, which is one of the thrilling and exciting moments in George Bancroft’s latest Paramount picture, “The Wolf of Wall tSreet,” his first all-talking production, more than twenty assistant directors were used by Director Rowland V. Lee to help him film the sequence in sound. These twenty directors circulated nm'-'-" four hundred film extras, many of them with actual Wall Street experience, •riving instructions as received from Director Lee via a hidden telephone system. The shouting, veiling, tense moments which daily make up the routine of the Exchange are exactly reproduced in this picture, and made doubly effective and realistic by employment of Paramount Quality Sound. The sterling stage-trained voices of the players in support of Bancroft arc not the least of the features of this production. Baclanova, Nancy Carroll, Paul Lukas. Brandon Hurst, Arthur Rankin and Crauford Kent, all are products of the legitimate stage, and the star, Bancroft, was one of the leading stage players along Broadwav for several years. “The Wolf of Wall Street” opens at the Plaza Theatre next Friday.
