VALUE OF CINDER TRACK
I\TOST of W. J. Tomkinson’s team have been kept going during the wet weather on the cinder training track at Addington. With the constant stream of horses working on it, this circuit has been improved and now affords excellent footing in the worst weather, says a Christchurch exchange. Young Blake has put on a bit more condition since his return from Auckland, and he looks in fine healthy trim. The other trotters, Western Voyage and Tonic, are also in satisfactory order. Both will be regarded with respect if geared up for the August meeting.
