WIDOW KILLED BY SHOT
FIVE CHILDREN LEFT MOTHERLESS MAN FOUND WOUNDED (United I*.A.—By Telegraph — Copyright) PERTH, Thursday. A tragic affair is reported from Collie, a mining town in Western Australia. A widow, Mrs. Muriel Pope, aged 30, who was the mother of live children, was shot dead. Andrew Straw, aged 35, was also shot ill one temple. He is in a critical condition. It is alleged that he attempted to commit suicide. Straw is a married man with four children.
