MANY FLORAL TRIBUTES
MR. S. J. AMBURY’S FUNERAL There were a large number of floral tributes from different Methodist Church organisations, the directors and staff of Arabury’s Ltd., and associated business institutions at the funeral of the late Mr. Stephen James Ambury at the Mangere Cemetery yesterday afternoon. A large cortege paid its last respects to a highly esteemed citizen. The attendance was widely Representative of the business community, the producers and dairying interests in which Mr. Ambury was so keenly interested, and the Church. The service was conducted by the Rev. G. Bond, assisted by the Rev. Dr. C. H. Laws, 8.A., 8.D., of Trinity College, the Rev. E. Drake, the Rev. \V. Walker and the Rev. J. F. Goldie, president of the Methodist Conference. Six old employees, Messrs. Midgley, Cadwallader, Cooper, Ryan, Crowther and Lepine, were the pall-bearers. Mr. Ambury’s four brothers, Messrs. Joseph and Walter Ambury, of Epsom, Mr. John Ambury, of Ruawai, and Mr. Arthur Ambury, of New Plymouth, were present.
