TEN DAYS IN THE AIR
PLANE ANGELENO DOWN AT LAST AMERICAN ACHIEVEMENT (Australian and N.Z. Press Association) (United Service) Received 11 a.m. SAN FRANCISCO, Friday. A message from Culver City says that the biplane Angeleno landed at 2.13 p.m. today, being 10 days 6 hours 43 minutes in the air. “We came down because the tail group started fluttering,” said L. W. Mendell, who with R. B. Reinhart piloted the plane. They beat the previous refuelling record by three days.
