rp H E loss of £lB5 experienced by the Waikato Trotting Club during the season just ended, caused the chairman, Mr. Campbell Johnstone, to express the opinion at the annual meeting yesterday that a reduction of £I,OOO in prize-money for the year would enable the club to pay its way.
