AT EVELYN FIRTH HOME On Thursday afternoon the girls’ ‘ branch of the Victoria League held its • monthly bridge party at the Evelyn Firth Home for returned soldiers. Prizes were won by Air. BRIDGE DRIVE AUCKLAND EX-SERVICE WOMEN A very successful bridge drive was ! held on Tuesday at the Tower Tea } Rooms, in aid of the Auckland Ex- ■ Service Women’s Emergency Fund. ! Mrs. A. C. Jacob convened the party j and made a very charming hostess. A considerable sum was raised by j this means to provide boots and cloth- * ing for children of unemployed exsoldiers.
