LATE RATES MAINTAINED (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, Tuesday. The weekly stock sale at the Frankton salevards this afternoon was not very well attended. Prices were on a par with the previous week's rates. The auctioneers report as follow: The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited—Fat bullocks made £l3 7s 6d to £l4 7s; fat cows, £9 2s 6d to £ll 7s 6d; lighter cows, £7 10s to £$ Is 6d; light cows, £6 10s to £7 7s 6d; fat wethers, 34s 6d to 37s 8d; ewes, to £3 17s; lighter. £2 19s to £3 2s; heavy porkers, £2 3s to £2 13s; store pigs. 13s to 18s; slips, to 10s 6d. Dalgety and Company, Limited—There was a moderate yarding of beef, and prices were on a par with late rates. Prime ox beef sold at equal to 35s and 36s a 100. Best young cows and heifers made up to £lO 4s for medium weights. Prime runners made from £3 17s to £4; light Jersey heifers and young cows. £4 17s 6d to £5 15s. There was a small yarding of store cattle, which sold at late rates. Shorthorn cows in low condition (been running with Hereford bulls) made up to £5 7s; store cows of good quality, £5 10s to £6 15s; boners and inferior store cows, £2 10s to £3 15s. There was a fair yarding of dairy cattle of ordinary quality; best cows made up to £6 15s. There was a moderate yarding of sheep. Fat shep were a shade firmer than last week. Best quality prime wethers made up to 3Ss sd; light fat wethers, 32s 9d to 33s 6d: fat ewes made 28s to 30s 7d: fat woolly lambs, 26s to 30s; forward 2 and 4-tooth wethers, 29s 6d to Sis 6d:' forward black-faced lambs, 22s 6d. A pen of aged ewes in lamb to black-faced rams made 20s 6d. We sold a line of choice baconers at an average of £4 ss. Light stores, 20s to 255; other classes sold at late quotations.

AUCKLAND SALE j There was a good market for cow and ox hides at the fortnightly sale conducted at the Auckland Chamber of Commerce yesterday. Cow hides showed a slight improvement, averaging about one farthing a pound increase in price. The values for sheepskins and tallow remained practically unchanged.
