BROOKE MEMORIAL
MONUMENT AT SKYROS The Egyptian branch of “La Lantern© Sourde,” the international literary and artistic group founded in Brussels in 1921, has, at the instance of its director in Egypt, M. Paul Vanderborght, himself a well-known poet, organised a committee for the collection of funds for the erection of a monument to Rupert Brookes on the island of Skyros, where the distinguished yo.ing poet lies buried.
