FEDERAL PETROL DUTY
CABINET REJECTS PROPOSAL FOR INCREASE CANBERRA, Wednesday. The Federal Cabinet has rejected the proposed increase of 4d a gallon in the duty on petrol, as suggested by the recent conference of Premiers, and therefore the increase will not be imposed by the Customs, as was asked.
