AUCKLAND GUN CLUB

The Auckland Gun Club held a series of matches yesterday under difficult shooting conditions. The first four birds’ match resulted in a tie between J. Donnelly, I. Lomas, W. E. Grant, on 18 yards, and S. Roberts and A. M. Bartley, on 16 yards, Avith three each. Donnelly won the shoot-off. Tho chief match for Mr. K. H. Montgomery’s trophy resulted in an outright win for J. Donnelly, 18 yards, with the possible of ten, D. S. Ewing, 17 yards, being runner-up Avith nine. These were tAvo excellent performances. Donnelly only used his second barrel once, and EAving shot all birds with first barrels. A first miss out sweep was divided by D. S. EAving and A. M. Bartley. The last shoot, of the season Avill be hold on June 29.
